吴云东，教授, 重庆大学文理学部主任。1986年获匹兹堡大学化学博士学位。之后在加州大学洛杉矶分校和德国埃朗根大学从事研究工作。1992年到香港科技大学化学系任教，并于2001年晋升为教授。2005年当选为中国科学院化学学部学科建设领军人物。 吴云东自1999年起担任世界理论与计算化学家协会理事会理事，亦是亚太理论与计算化学协会的共同发起人之一，他同时担任了多个国际和国内著名专业学术刊物的顾问编委，编委或副主编。因其在科学研究及教书育人方面的突出成就，吴云东获得多项荣誉及奖励。其中包括：王宽诚交流学者奖（香港，1998），国家自然科学奖（1999），国家自然科学基金杰出青年奖（2002-2006），中国卓越研究奖（2008），香港科技大学理学院的优秀教育奖（2009），主编的《有机化学》教材被评为教育部普通高等教育精品教材（2009）。 |
